Throwing Performance
VELO Program
Throwing is a complex skill. Baseball and softball players, football quarterbacks, and tennis players are unique, and require sport-specific evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
The Wisconsin Performance Institute’s Velocity Enhancement and Long-Term Optimization (VELO) Program is designed to analyze and correct throwing-related movement issues, resulting in greater velocity and improved accuracy. WPI is one of the few facilities in the Midwest with programs dedicated to improving throwing efficiency, performance, and rehabilitation.
About
How It Works
During a throwing motion analysis, we use Noraxon USA technology to identify movements that contribute to arm stress and decreased performance. After an in-depth evaluation, we’ll determine what tissue restrictions, weaknesses, or movement faults are decreasing your performance, and we’ll create an individualized program to correct faulty mechanics and tissue impairments.
The result? You’ll soon be back on the field feeling better, moving better, and performing better.

The professionals at the WPI can help:
- Relieve throwing-related arm pain
- Speed return from injury or surgery
- Maximize velocity
- Improve skill and performance
- Prevent injury
